A Gramophone Award for "Cremona"
The Gramophone Awards are one of the most significant honours bestowed on recordings in the classical recording industry. This year, Les Arts Florissants and Paul Agnew ( featuring Sean Clayton) have won the award in the Baroque vocal category with Cremona, a CD which gathers extracts for Books I, II and III of Monteverdi's Madrigals.
Early in 2016 Sean was asked to join the exciting vocal ensemble Perspectives. A 5-part a cappella group based in France, presenting works from the Renaissance to contemporary music through the Tallis, Schubert & Elgar to Duke Ellington, Phil Collins & David Bowie.
